Seeking CFs, CCC-SLPs/BCBAs to work with children with Autism!
Due to our continued growth, Merrymeeting Center for Child Development, an innovative treatment, care and education program for children with autism, has immediate openings in beautiful mid-coast Maine for CFs , CCC-SLPs, and CCC-SLP/BCBAs. Merrymeeting Center is a behavioral analytic special purpose private school and treatment provider, with an emphasis on autism as a communication disorder.
We’ll train you in the fundamentals of ABA! We utilize a wide variety of behavior analytic tools, including natural environment teaching, embedded learning, incidental teaching, task analysis, motivating operations, and others. Although experience in applied behavior analysis is preferred, it is not required.
Applied behavior analysis is an objective discipline used to help children acquire new skills, and to extinguish behaviors that interfere with their learning and community living, often by increasing communication abilities. ABA is a science that offers objective and measurable definition of goals and objectives, and systematic hierarchies of skill acquisition.
We’re looking for professionals who:
- Are Maine licensure eligible (CFs or CCCs are encouraged to apply!)
- Are life-long learners
- Have a solid work ethic
- Have a positive attitude
- Are innovative problem solvers
- Are team players
- Are interested in increasing skills in the areas of ABA and AAC
A subspecialty in the analysis of verbal behavior (VBx) is desirable but not required.
Providence’s Merrymeeting Center offers a highly competitive compensation package. Starting salary range is from $35,000 to $50,000, commensurate with education and experience.
